    Membership Coordinator

    POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Membership Manager
    DIRECT REPORTS: None
    EMPLOYEE STATUS: Non-Exempt, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
    ROLE TYPE/LEVEL: Entry-Level

    CLIENT/DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
    The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society is a non-profit medical professional society of more than 12,000 influential clinicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals from around the world dedicated to improving the care of patients with Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders through education and research.

    JOB OVERVIEW:
    The Membership Coordinator manages and coordinates all administrative membership processes for MDS, as well as assists in development and implementation of new member-related procedures. In addition, this role serves as the primary point of contact for new and current members, managing phone and email inquiries, processing of membership payments, and application/account support. This role reports to the Senior Membership Manager and works closely with all MDS teams and members.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
    This position maintains a high level of customer service and support to both members and the membership services team. The ideal candidate will:
    • Excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Adaptable to changing needs and ability to prioritize projects and timelines.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office environment required.
    • Experience with iMIS a plus.

    TRAVEL REQUIRED:
    Some travel, including international, may be required.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    This is a full-time position located in our office in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (lifting, packaging, etc.)
    Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    Some early morning, evening and weekend work may be required to meet client needs.
