What You'll Do

Member Service

  • Deliver exceptional service to members in person and by phone.
  • Build strong relationships through friendly, professional interactions.
  • Answer questions regarding accounts, services, loans, digital banking, and credit union policies.
  • Resolve member concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Educate members on products and services that support their financial goals.

Account & Transaction Processing

  • Open and maintain new membership accounts, certificates, and IRA accounts.
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, account updates, cashier's checks, money orders, and other member transactions.
  • Maintain accuracy while handling cash and transactions.
  • Balance daily transactions and cash drawer within required timeframes.

Consumer Lending Support

  • Accept and enter consumer loan applications.
  • Follow up with members regarding loan approvals and decisions.
  • Assist with loan funding and documentation processing.

Relationship Building & Sales

  • Identify opportunities to recommend products and services that meet member needs.
  • Support growth in member relationships through referrals and product utilization.
  • Meet or exceed individual service and performance goals.

Compliance & Security

  • Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect the credit union and its members from fraud and financial loss.
  • Maintain member confidentiality and security standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Fluent bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of six months to one year of customer service, retail banking, credit union, cash-handling, or related experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred

  • Credit union or banking experience.
  • Experience opening new accounts.
  • Consumer lending experience.
  • Knowledge of Symitar.
  • Sales and relationship-building experience.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Word

  • Internet Applications
  • 10-Key Data Entry

Schedule & Work Environment

Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Monday through Saturday scheduling.
  • Saturday availability is required.
  • One regularly scheduled day off during the week when working Saturdays.

Work Environment

  • Primarily indoor office environment.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Occasional local travel may be required.
