Member Service Representative

What You'll Do:

• Provide prompt, professional assistance to members by telephone, email, and in person.
• Answer questions regarding accounts, transactions, financial services, and available products.
• Assist members with wire transfers, account withdrawals, account inquiries, and other service requests.
• Identify member needs and introduce relevant financial products and services.
• Process unsecured loan applications, including credit cards and lines of credit, and assist with secured loan applications as needed.
• Troubleshoot online banking issues and respond to member email requests.
• Complete account research, including requests involving check copies, statements, payment issues, forgeries, and other documentation.
• Process and coordinate applicable check disbursements and member correspondence.
• Support other departments with account research and special requests.
• Assist members in the lobby during assigned Saturday shifts.
• Participate in departmental and individual projects and provide additional support as business needs require.
• Work occasional overtime when necessary to complete assignments or projects.


What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED, related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous customer service, banking, credit union, call center, or financial services experience is helpful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, member-first approach.
• Ability to confidently explain information and communicate with members and coworkers.
• Comfortable performing basic business math, including percentages, ratios, fractions, and decimals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow written and verbal procedures.
• Comfortable using word processing, spreadsheet, internet, and other computer-based applications.
• Ability to stay organized while managing multiple member requests and priorities.
• A collaborative attitude and willingness to learn new financial products, systems, and processes.
