As traffic and concurrent AI agent executions continue growing rapidly, they're expanding their engineering team to build the infrastructure and product capabilities powering the next generation of consumer AI assistants.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and scale core infrastructure powering a production AI assistant used across messaging platforms.
• Develop high-performance backend services capable of supporting large volumes of concurrent AI agent executions.
• Build and optimize agentic workflows, orchestration systems, and production AI runtime infrastructure.
• Design APIs, SDKs, and developer tooling that make the platform extensible for future products and integrations.
• Improve AI model selection, tool usage, evaluation systems, and production output quality.
• Prototype and launch new consumer-facing AI experiences from concept through production deployment.
• Debug distributed systems while maintaining high availability, reliability, and low latency.
• Collaborate closely with founders and engineers to shape technical architecture and long-term platform strategy.
• Contribute across the full technology stack using primarily TypeScript and Python.
• Help establish engineering standards and technical direction within a fast-growing AI startup.

Ideal Background

• 0–4 years of professional software engineering experience, including exceptional new graduates.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production systems.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and Python.
• Experience building scalable backend services, distributed systems, or AI-powered applications.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from a highly regarded university.
• Strong problem-solving ability with experience owning technical projects from design through deployment.
• Comfortable working across infrastructure, backend systems, AI features, and product engineering.
• Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a highly collaborative startup environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Palo Alto five days per week.

Preferred

• Experience at high-growth startups, AI companies, or quantitative trading firms.
• Background in AI model evaluation, post-training, reinforcement learning, or large language model infrastructure.
• Competitive programming accomplishments, International Olympiad participation, or other exceptional technical achievements.
• Experience building consumer AI products or conversational AI systems.
• Strong systems thinking with experience designing scalable platform infrastructure.
• Portfolio of personal projects, open-source contributions, or technically challenging side projects.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building products from zero to one.
• Interest in working within an extremely high-talent-density engineering environment.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary: $150,000.
• Significant equity package with total annual compensation typically ranging from approximately $250,000–$750,000+.
