About the Opportunity

We are hiring a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) / Forward Deployed Engineer to work on applied AI systems across research and production.

This role spans model experimentation, AI infrastructure, deployment, and operational systems in high-assurance, mission-critical environments. You will also work directly with strategic partners in forward-deployed settings, translating mission requirements into reliable technical systems and helping ensure mission success.

What You'll Work On

  • Build and deploy agentic AI systems supporting high-impact U.S. Government missions, taking systems from prototype through production.

  • Design and integrate LLM applications, including:

    • Multi-agent systems

    • Tool-using agents

    • RAG workflows

    • Human-in-the-loop autonomy

  • Work directly with government partners in forward-deployed environments to understand mission needs and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Build and maintain large-scale data curation and evaluation pipelines for model training and improvement.

  • Develop infrastructure supporting model inference, experimentation, evaluation, and deployment across frontier AI platforms.

  • Build AI systems that combine mission data, models, and tools to enable real operational autonomy.

  • Own systems across the complete lifecycle, including discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, reliability, security, and iteration.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous, partner-facing environments while taking technical and operational ownership.

  • Strong Python engineering skills with experience owning systems end-to-end.

  • Experience working with LLMs and building agentic systems.

  • Experience building or maintaining data pipelines and ML infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with reinforcement learning (RL) workflows or simulation environments.

  • Comfortable operating in high-security and high-reliability environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active U.S. security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.

  • Experience supporting U.S. Government, defense, intelligence, or national security missions.

  • Prior experience at a startup, defense organization, Department of War, or government-focused technology company.

  • Experience operating in fast-moving startup environments, mission-critical government settings, or both.
