Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead operations within our Melting & Casting department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, supporting a strong safety culture, developing production employees, and ensuring operational goals are achieved.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on manufacturing leadership experience, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to drive performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily operations within the Melting & Casting production area.
  • Lead and support production employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes.
  • Foster a workplace culture centered on safety, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to hourly team members.
  • Monitor workflow and production schedules to ensure customer demands and delivery targets are met.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and equipment utilization.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to troubleshoot operational issues and minimize downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental requirements, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading manufacturing or production teams.
  • Experience in metals manufacturing environments strongly preferred, including melting, casting, foundry operations, aluminum, copper, steel, forging, rolling, extrusion, or other heavy industrial settings.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, root cause problem solving, and workplace safety programs.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
