Your Role:
We are seeking a contract professional for Megasys Technician role supporting Electronics! This is a challenging, hands-on, and rewarding job opportunity for individuals seeking to join a growing business in a career-focused role.

This contract engagement offers on-the-job training for quickly learning critical technical skills to excel in this role and be considered for conversion to permanent, as determined by supervisors and business needs.

Technicians work on systems and maintain a supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as smartphones, LEDs, and flat-screen TVs.

Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:
•Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
•Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
•Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs
•Support of quality systems

Physical Attributes:
•Walking up to 5 or 6 miles per day
•May occasionally need to climb a tanker truck (18-wheeler) while using fall protection, to off-load chemicals into a drum
•In some cases, Technicians must put on a Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (this type of respirator provides air from a cylinder through a mask connected to the cylinder) while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes)
•Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)
•Bending of the knees and overhead reaching
•PPE provided for workers includes safety glasses, hard hats, earplugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc.
•The worker will be provided a voucher to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear
•A Fit for Duty Evaluation will be required before reporting and annually, which includes: Pulmonary Function Test for wearing a respirator, an audiogram baseline for wearing hearing protection, and physical exam.
•Workers are required to complete hazardous communication training (Right to Know) before work. There are no planned activities or work in which a worker is exposed to any of the products used onsite.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

- Safety experience and preferred certifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver's license
- Must speak English

Preferred Qualifications:
•Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician. Experience in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus
•Strong technical aptitude
•Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment
•Proficient with MS Office Suite
•Military experience is welcome
•Excellent communication skills

Shift Information:

For the first 60-90 days, the schedule will be M-F (8 hrs), 7am-3pm, with a one-hour lunch break.

Overtime is available but depends on the business needs. MEGASYS®is the branded name for Electronics services, where Electronics Technicians and Engineers provide on-site gas and chemical/slurry management.
