About the Role:Join Legacy Memory Care at Kinston, LLC as a Medication Technician and play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents. With a commitment to compassionate care, you will ensure that our residents receive their medications safely and effectively in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:- Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor residents for side effects and reactions to medications, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation.
- Assist with the organization and storage of medication supplies.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding resident care needs.
- Educate residents and their families about medication management and safety.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay current with best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding medication administration.
Requirements:- Valid certification as a Medication Technician or similar role.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or assisted living setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of medication administration and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a passion for caring for the elderly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
