Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this key position, you will be responsible for the timely and accurately processing of inpatient/outpatient claims to third party payers. This will involve providing quality control checks on paper claims; processing tracers, denials and related correspondence; initiating appeals; and drafting, composing, and submitting appeal letters. We'll look to you to ensure the delivery of the highest level of customer support and customer satisfaction. You will handle a high volume of incoming customer service calls within a call-center setting.

Note: This posted position is 1 of 3 positions available for hire. All applicants will apply through this requisition and if selected will be hired into one of the available positions.

Salary Range: $30.79 - $40.60/Hourly

Job Qualifications

We're seeking an exceptional, self-directed, customer-focused professional with:

  • Two years of medical billing experience in a physicians' office or clinic - REQUIRED
  • Background with Medi-Cal, Medicare, managed care, and PPO insurance
  • Detailed knowledge of medical terminology
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read/interpret correspondence, charged documents, EOBs and all insurance forms
  • Knowledge of online registration procedures, including payor data and financial classes
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of overall business office functions
  • Knowledge of EPIC is a plus
