Medical Technologist - MT/MLS/MLT - Full Time - Days

QUALIFICATIONS/YEARS OF RELATED EXPERIENCE:Minimum: 0-1Preferred: 2-4LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/EDUCATION REQUIRED:Current/Active Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (TN)Education: Technical School/4 Years College/Bachelor's DegreeGood verbal and written communication skills required. Requires graduation from an accredited MLT/MLS program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent.

Generalist position rotating through all departments: blood bank, chemistry, coagulation, hematology, basic microbiology and urinalysis. Performs manual and automated routine blood tests. Prepares specimens for microscope examination. Operates laboratory equipment and performs a variety of tasks. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. Requires graduation from an accredited MLT/MLS program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent.
