Summary:
To perform accurate, precise testing to assist in patient care in a timely manner. To assist in all functions of laboratory services.
Medical Laboratory Scientists are required to have ASCP certification within one year of hire. MVH will accept AMT Certification in lieu of ASCP certification for current workers who possess AMT certification as of the ratification date, and for new hires who possess AMT certification at the time of hire.

Performs laboratory tests using established procedures in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Biology required or Bachelor's Degree Clinical Laboratory Sciences required or Bachelor's Degree Laboratory Sciences required.

Licenses and Credentials:
ASCP Certified Medical Technologist [MLT, MT, MLA, Histologists] - Generic - HR Only preferred.
Experience:
At least two years experience in a clinical Laboratory 2-3 years required.
