Medical Technologist Lead

A Medical Technologist Lead opportunity is available in Bradenton, FL at a 383-bed acute care hospital located minutes from the Gulf Coast beaches.

The role. Reporting to a laboratory supervisor, manager, or director, this lead position performs stat and routine clinical laboratory testing across Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, and Hematology, applying independent judgment to ensure timely and accurate results. The position requires maintained licensure and regulatory scheduling across all three sections, along with non-technical duties such as specimen collection, processing, and referral testing as needed. On the assigned evening or night shift, this role serves as the primary laboratory point of contact for the facility's trauma team. The lead also supports department-wide goals related to service, quality, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.

What we're looking for.

• 2 Year/Associate Degree in Science, required
• 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, preferred
• State of Florida Medical Technologist License
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a Medical Laboratory
• 3 or more years of experience and generally scheduled in at least 5 areas of the lab
• Technical specialty areas: Blood Bank/Immunohematology, Chemistry, Hematology

Schedule. Mixed shifts of 7–10 hours, primarily evening or night shift.

Compensation. $30.34 - $42.47/hr
