• Monday–Friday | 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Tuesday–Saturday | 3:00 AM–11:30 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) to join a clinical laboratory team in Coppell, TX. This position is responsible for day-to-day specimen processing, laboratory testing, analysis, and accurate reporting of patient results. The Medical Technologist will also support quality control, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and overall laboratory operations while maintaining established safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and prepare specimens according to established laboratory protocols.
• Perform laboratory testing and accurately interpret and report patient results.
• Identify and resolve issues that could affect test performance or result accuracy.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshoot testing methods and equipment.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures, departmental protocols, and established procedure manuals.
• Assist with maintaining effective QA/QC programs, documentation, and quality monitoring.
• Review and help update procedures to improve testing efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.
• Assist laboratory leadership with administrative responsibilities, including supply ordering and inventory management.
• Communicate testing issues, workflow concerns, and other pertinent information to laboratory leadership.
• Collaborate effectively with other laboratory departments and operational teams.
• Maintain required productivity and quality standards.
• Follow all applicable compliance, privacy, security, and laboratory policies.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a chemical, physical, biological, or related clinical laboratory science.
• ASCP or AMT certification required.
• Students who are eligible to obtain ASCP or AMT certification are encouraged to apply.
• Must maintain required continuing education to keep certification and/or applicable licensure current.
• One year of related clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, reliable test results.
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory instruments, testing processes, and technical issues.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, quality assurance, and quality control practices.
