    Description

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our Chemistry Lab team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory diagnostic testing and quality assurance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures in the Chemsitry Department
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established protocols and procedures
    • Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results by adhering to quality control standards, calibration, and proficiency testing
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Train and supervise laboratory assistants and other staff as needed
    • Stay current with advances in laboratory testing techniques, equipment, and regulation
    • Additional tasks may be assigned at any time by the supervisor

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
    • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a recognized certifying agency
    • 3+ years' experience working in a clinical laboratory setting, with specific experience in Core Laboratory disciplines required
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
    • Comfortability with potential exposure to infectious agents, biohazardous materials, and chemicals
    • May require occasional evening or weekend shifts based on operational needs
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with coworkers and healthcare providers
    • Commitment to quality, safety, and patient confidentiality
