Medical Technologist, Brooksville, FL
Full-Time | Night Shift (10:00 PM 6:30 AM, 3rd Shift, Rotating Weekends)
Pay Range: $27.09 to $37.92/hr | Sign-On: Up to $10,000 | Relocation: Case-by-Case

As a Medical Technologist, you'll play a critical role in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results that directly impact patient care. Located in Brooksville, Florida, Oak Hill Hospital serves Hernando and Citrus counties with a broad range of services, including a 24/7 Emergency Department, comprehensive cardiovascular programs, advanced surgical care, and women's health.
Perform accurate, timely, and efficient clinical laboratory testing across multiple technical disciplines, including Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure proper calibration and performance.
Evaluate and interpret patient results, performing delta checks and correlation studies as needed.
Conduct and document quality control procedures in accordance with CAP and other regulatory standards.
Perform STAT testing within target turnaround times.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment or procedural issues.
Support department compliance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
Handle critical results and problem specimens according to established protocols.
Assist in maintaining sufficient reagent and supply inventories.
Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of a lab supervisor or manager.
Required:
Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
Active State of Florida Technologist License (in relevant specialties).
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
Experience in a hospital-based or high-complexity clinical laboratory setting.
Hourly Pay Range:
Minimum: $27.09/hr
Midpoint: $32.51/hr
Maximum: $37.92/hr
Additional Compensation:
Night Shift Differential: +$2.50/hr
On-Call Pay: +$2.00/hr
Sign-On Bonus:
$10,000 (Night Shift)
$5,000 (Day Shift)
