A Medical Technologist is needed for a hospital in Brooksville, FL. This full-service facility operates a clinical laboratory with disciplines spanning Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology, serving both routine and stat testing needs across inpatient and outpatient populations.

The role. Reporting to a Laboratory Supervisor, Manager, or Director, the Medical Technologist performs stat and routine clinical laboratory testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology, applying independent judgment to ensure timely and accurate results. Day-to-day work includes executing quality control procedures, documenting corrective actions when results fall outside acceptable parameters, and analyzing proficiency testing samples within required timeframes. The technologist is expected to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, maintain reagent and supply inventories, and handle critical specimens and results according to established protocols. In the supervisor's absence, the role assumes appropriate departmental oversight and is responsible for reviewing pending and result logs to resolve or communicate outstanding workload to relief staff.

What we're looking for.
  • Associate degree (2-year) required; Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Technologist
  • Active State of Florida Medical Technologist License required

Schedule. Full-time, third shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) with 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shift options and rotating weekends.

Compensation. $27.09 - $32.51/hr plus ON CALL: $2; NIGHT DIFF: $2.50; Sign on: Night Shift- 10K/ Day shift- $5K; Relo- Case by case
