Job Title: Medical Technologist– Blood Bank
Location: Jamaica, NY 11432
Schedule: 35 Hours per Week (7X5)
Shift: Evening Shift – 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Duration: 9 weeks
Travel pay: From $2,300/week
Local pay: From $52/hr
Position Summary: We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with Blood Bank experience to join a dynamic laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing blood bank testing and laboratory procedures while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum one (1) year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience in a Blood Bank setting
- Associate's Degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program
- Valid New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License issued by NYSED
- Primary Source Verification of licensure required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- BLS Certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing and procedures in the Blood Bank department
- Ensure accuracy and quality of laboratory results
- Follow established laboratory policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to support patient care
Required Credentials:
- NYSED Clinical Laboratory Technologist License.
- Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited laboratory technology program
Must Have:
- Blood Bank experience
- Active NYSED Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
- Minimum 1 year of recent Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience
