  • Shift: 1400-2230 M-F rotational weekends, 40 hours weekly
Job Summary:
Performs routine laboratory testing under the guidance of Medical Technologists and Laboratory Supervisor. Responsible for setting up and monitoring automated test procedures and performing manual procedures requiring judgment using pre-calibrated and automated devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, and reporting
  • Maintain records demonstrating proficiency testing is performed consistently with patient specimens
  • Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures (department SOPs)
  • Review and release test results
  • Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines
  • Adhere to quality control policies and document all activities, calibrations, and maintenance
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting test performance or notify senior staff
  • Document corrective actions for deviations in test systems
  • Report critical results according to department procedures
  • Answer questions from customers or lab personnel as needed
  • Maintain complete and accurate testing records
  • Ensure proper labeling and tracking of reagents and test kits
  • Participate in training, meetings, and safety sessions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Experience:
  • Ability to establish work priorities and manage multiple procedures simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and compliance standards
  • Ability to interact with multiple departments and provide customer support
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • 1–3 years of clinical laboratory experience
  • Experience in moderate-complexity testing
Required Skills:
  • Laboratory Testing & Specimen Analysis
  • Quality Control & Compliance (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA)
  • Data Recording & Result Reporting
Preferred Skills:
  • MLS / MST certification
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot lab testing issues
Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment
  • Training and process improvement participation
  • Documentation of laboratory processes and corrective actions
