Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is preferred.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds. Travel experience including successful completion is required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience with neuro patients preferred, but not required.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Must take a full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society or Marshfield Clinic Health System location. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Unit Details: Uses Omnicell and Alaris IV pumps. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 4-5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and every other holiday. Rotation timing is not fixed; clinicians may work 3 weeks of days followed by 3 weeks of nights in one schedule cycle, while the next schedule cycle may be all days or all nights, depending on unit needs. When balancing the schedule, the unit aims to avoid frequent flips between days and nights.
Floating Requirements: The primary unit is 6AB, but clinicians are expected to float to any Med-Surg unit at any of the 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo as needed per job request.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
