Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Surgical, post-op, and early ambulation experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Block scheduling may be considered if unit needs are met. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submission.

Unit Details: Nurse-patient ratios: days 1:4-5, nights 1:5-6. Common cases include total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgery (lap appy, bowel resection), bariatrics, and medical overflow; frequent hemo vacs, JP drains, and colostomies. No GYN or cardiac Med-Surg/telemetry patients. No titration required; occasional heparin drips, PCA pumps, and TPN. Charge nurse on both shifts; nights may occasionally take a low-acuity assignment. Support staff includes 1 tech for up to 12 patients. Uses nasal cannula; RT performs treatments. Remote telemetry packs with a monitor tech to read and interpret; RNs do not read their own strips. Bedside shift report is expected.

Shift & Scheduling: Manager makes the schedule. Every other weekend. Holidays as needed.

Floating Requirements: First to float to medical and telemetry; assistance with strips is available there, taking medical patients in that area.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
