What Youll Do
- Provide expert nursing care to hematology and oncology patients, including BMT and acute leukemia cases
- Assist with bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
- Administer medications using barcode medication administration and Alaris infusion pumps
- Monitor patient responses and ensure safety with equipment like SCD machines and feeding pumps
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Document treatments and patient progress accurately in Epic electronic health records
- Float and cover weekends as scheduled, with flexibility to support unit needs
What You Need
Required:- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Experience in hematology/medical oncology nursing
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends
Preferred:- Ontario Nurses Society (ONS) certification or similar
- Previous experience with CVC placement and bone marrow biopsies
