The Role

CLFC is seeking Medical Support Specialists to provide comprehensive healthcare services at a federal law enforcement facility in El Paso, Texas. You will deliver primary care, urgent care, occupational health, and emergency medical support to federal officers and personnel. This role demands clinical versatility, sound judgment under pressure, and the ability to operate effectively in a federal law enforcement environment where readiness and reliability are paramount.

What You Will Do

  • Primary and Urgent Care: Provide direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for acute and chronic conditions
  • Occupational Health: Conduct fitness-for-duty examinations, pre-employment physicals, and return-to-work evaluations for federal officers
  • Emergency Medical Response: Deliver emergency medical care and stabilization for injuries and medical emergencies occurring in the field or at federal facilities
  • Medical Screening: Perform medical screenings, health assessments, and triage in support of federal law enforcement operations
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with federal healthcare standards, HIPAA, and agency-specific protocols
  • Coordination of Care: Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and medical evacuations as needed, working with local healthcare systems and federal medical resources

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted medical license or certification (RN, PA, NP, EMT-P, or equivalent clinical credential)
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or occupational health
  • BLS and ACLS certification (current)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and federal medical documentation systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in federal, military, or law enforcement healthcare settings
  • Texas state licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency (highly valued in the El Paso operational area)
  • PHTLS, TCCC, or tactical medicine training
  • Experience with occupational health programs and fitness-for-duty evaluations
  • Prior experience supporting DHS, CBP, ICE, or similar federal law enforcement agencies
