We are seeking detail-oriented Medical Support Assistants (MSAs) to support the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Community Care. In this remote role, you will coordinate and authorize Veteran care with community providers when services are unavailable or cannot be provided in a timely manner through the VA.
The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, excellent computer proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and authorize Veteran care with community healthcare providers.
Screen and receive incoming phone calls professionally and courteously.
Respond to inquiries regarding healthcare service delivery.
Schedule appointments and perform appointment tracking.
Conduct pre-appointment and post-appointment patient contacts as required.
Utilize Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams daily.
Provide exceptional customer service to Veterans, family members, VA staff, providers, and contractors.
