Position Summary:

Odyssey is looking for a Medical Supply Logistics Technician to support the 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.  The 711 HPW is the first human-centric warfare wing to consolidate human performance research, education and consultation under a single organization. Established under the Air Force Research Laboratory, the 711 HPW is comprised of the Airman Systems Directorate (RH), the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) and the Human Systems Integration Directorate (HP).

Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform comprehensive supply activities in accordance with established standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and supply discipline directives including:
    • DMLSS System: Order, purchasing and receipt of items.
    • Receiving: Verifying inbound materials against receiving documents, identifying obvious damage, and routing items to prescribed storage locations.
    • Storage Management: Storing, stacking, and palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed safety and storage methods.
  • Rearrange stored materials, conduct physical inventories, examine assets for deterioration, and note/report discrepancies.
  • Remove materiel from storage, prepare items for shipment or delivery, and execute the delivery of supplies to authorized personnel.
  • Assist with local property utilization and cataloging actions.
  • Verify the delivery, receipt, storage, and issue of incoming supplies.
  • Assist with management of funds and expenditures provided by the Manpower and Equipment Force Packaging Manager for WRM maintenance and upgrades.
  • Safely operate a government vehicle when required to transport supplies and equipment between medical logistics and base support activities and customers.
  • Operate hand trucks and forklifts.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with industrial safety standards (e.g., AFI 91-203).
  • Sweep the warehouse floors and remove trash/debris from the areas immediately outside the facility's garage doors.
  • Mop the warehouse floors.
  • Dispose of all cardboard by breaking it down and placing it into the designated Government-provided recycling dumpsters.

Qualifications:

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.

Clearance: Ability to Obtain NACI.

Education:  High School diploma, or equivalent.

Years of Experience:  12 months demonstrated experience working with and maintaining War Reserve Material in a DoW supply or warehouse setting.

 

Other required expereince:

  • Demonstrated experience shall include USAF governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, maintaining, inventorying and updating of War Reserve Material Allowance standards.
  • Possess extensive demonstrated knowledge and experience of the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system.
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license to obtain authorization to operate a Government vehicle and obtain and maintain a valid forklift training certificate.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) standards. 
  • Have and wear steel/composite toed boots, ensuring they meet or exceed ANSI/ISEA standards.

Years of experience: 12 months demonstrated experience in medical supply warehouse setting.
