As a Medical Staff Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities and functions of an assigned portion of the credentialing and privileging component of the medical staff services department. You will be responsible for accreditation compliance, credentialing, privileging, Medical Staff department/committee support, Medical Staff Bylaws and policy and procedure compliance. You will study and understand the medical staff bylaws, Joint Commission, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) standards, and monitor the latest regulatory standards and ensure compliance. You will have a direct and significant impact on hospital accreditation, performance improvement, patient safety, and physician satisfaction. You will interact professionally with medical staff leadership and facilitate communication between medical staff, hospital staff, clinical directors, and administration. Hospital departments will rely on you to assist in ensuring that the medical staff complies with various policies and regulatory standards.
