Medical Scribe / Medical Assistant – PRN – Brooklyn Clinic

A community-focused private medical practice located in Bushwick, Brooklyn is seeking EXPERIENCED Medical Scribes / Medical Assistants to support our clinical providers on a PRN basis. This role primarily focuses on medical scribing and clinical documentation while also assisting with basic medical assistant duties as needed.

POSITION DETAILS

Location: Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY


Schedule: PRN (as needed based on provider schedule)


Compensation: $17 per hour


Setting: Outpatient private practice / primary care clinic



QUALIFICATIONS

• PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED as a Medical Assistant and/or Medical Scribe 
• Experience working with healthcare providers in a clinical or medical office setting 
• Good typing, documentation, and charting skills 
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems is preferred 
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology 
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and professionalism 
• Good written and verbal communication skills 
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in English, Spanish, and/or Mandarin Chinese is a plus 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (MEDICAL SCRIBE)

• Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record in real time
• Record patient histories, physical exam findings, and provider assessments
• Assist providers with documentation of treatment plans and follow-up instructions
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of clinical notes
• Support providers in maintaining efficient patient flow
  
  

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES (MEDICAL ASSISTANT SUPPORT)

• Assist with patient intake and rooming
• Record vital signs and update patient demographics
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies
• Assist providers during examinations when needed
• Support overall clinic workflow and patient experience
