    Territory: Great Lakes Region\n \nAbout the Role\n \nThe Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Great Lakes serves as a scientific and clinical expert for Company's Epilepsy and Rare Syndromes portfolio. This field-based role develops and maintains relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, facilitates scientific exchange, generates medical insights, and supports initiatives that improve patient care and outcomes.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\n Maintain expertise in epilepsy and rare syndromes, including emerging clinical data, treatment guidelines, and competitive developments.\n Build and manage trusted relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, investigators, health systems, payers, and patient advocacy organizations.\n Deliver balanced scientific and clinical information through educational discussions, presentations, and responses to medical inquiries.\n Gather and communicate actionable field insights to inform Medical Affairs strategies and scientific communications.\n Support research collaborations, including Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS), from feasibility assessment through publication.\n Represent Company at scientific congresses, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and educational programs.\n Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Real-World Evidence, Market Access, and Commercial partners.\n \nKey Relationships\n \nInternal Partners\n\n Medical Affairs and Medical Directors\n Real-World Evidence (RWE)\n Clinical Development and Clinical Operations\n Medical Information\n Compliance and Legal\n Sales, Marketing, and Market Access teams\n \nExternal Partners\n\n Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)\n Healthcare Providers\n Clinical Investigators\n Health System and IDN Decision Makers\n Patient Advocacy Organizations\n \nQualifications\n \nRequired\n\n Doctoral degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, or DPM).\n Minimum of 2 years of Medical Affairs experience within the biopharmaceutical industry.\n Residence within the assigned territory.\n Valid driver's license.\n Ability to travel 60-80% within the region.\n Experience in neurology, epilepsy, rare diseases, or related therapeutic areas.\n \nPreferred\n\n Prior product launch experience.\n Knowledge of clinical research, clinical trials, and health economics.\n Strong scientific communication and presentation skills.\n Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.\n Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.\n Strong organizational, project management, and Microsoft Office skills.\n \nKey Competencies\n\n Scientific expertise and credibility\n Strategic relationship building\n Medical insight generation\n Cross-functional collaboration\n Patient-centric mindset\n Strong communication and presentation skills\n \nThis is an exciting opportunity to advance scientific understanding and improve outcomes for patients living with epilepsy and rare syndromes while partnering with leading healthcare professionals across the Great Lakes region.\n\n
