Opportunity Overview
As a member of Rhythms North America Field Medical leadership team, the Director, Field Medical is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to ensure excellence in scientific engagement, insight generation, and execution of Rhythms Medical Affairs strategy. Reporting to the Head of Field Medical and working in partnership with a second Field Director, this role provides strategic and operational leadership across an assigned region while fostering a high-performing, collaborative Field Medical organization.
The Director, Field Medical partners closely with MSLs, Medical Affairs leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate medical strategy into effective field execution. The role is accountable for driving field medical effectiveness through talent development, field coaching, stakeholder engagement planning, insight generation, and execution scientific exchange activities.
In addition to people leadership responsibilities, the Director, Field Medical serves as a scientific leader within the organization, helping identify emerging opportunities, trends, and stakeholder needs that inform medical strategy and organizational decision-making. The role contributes to the advancement of Medical Affairs objectives by ensuring high-quality scientific engagement, strengthening partnerships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, and developing a high-performing team that delivers meaningful scientific impact and strategic value to the organization. This position requires strong scientific acumen, demonstrated leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment.
This position is based in GA (Atlanta) and covers the East Region.

This role is field based. Candidates applying must be willing and able to travel frequently and have easy access to transportation and airports.
The expected salary range for this position is $182,000-275,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. This role may be eligible for benefits and other compensation such as restricted stock units.
