Directs telephone calls to appropriate section for assistance and takes messages as required.Knowledge on the use of standard office equipment, such as computers, copiers, printers, fax machines and telephone systems to perform a substantial range of medical record maintenance support.At least one-year experience to include handling patient records in a healthcare setting, managing electronic health records (EHR) or medical office software, and familiarity with medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.Initiates and maintains medical records in accordance with prescribed directives.Files military forms documenting patient care into the official medical record.Searches for missing paperwork or records; requests information pertaining to patient treatment to place in the medical record.Prepare reports regarding record statistics as necessary.Participates in records review as part of the facility's quality assurance program Receive and electronically deliver telephone messages (t-cons) to PCMs and/or clinic nurses by using the Government computer system, standard protocols and individual clinic guidelines as neededRetires medical records in accordance with regulatory guidelinesWhat You'll NeedU.S. CitizenHigh School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.Certification: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)Basic medical terminology experienceAt least 6 months of experience in medical office scheduling.Experience in a medical clinic or medical office setting performing scheduling, administrative, and medical records duties.Come join our team of healthcare professionals!www.FSRpeople.comFederal Staffing Resources (FSR)is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
