Position Summary:
The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for collecting, organizing, and processing patient documentation to ensure accurate and timely inclusion in the hospital's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This position supports clinical staff by maintaining complete and organized patient medical records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies. Duties include picking up patient charts and medical documents from nursing units and patient care floors throughout the hospital, reviewing and organizing medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness, and scaning, indexing, and uploading documents into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Position Qualification:
High School diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
