Responsibilities:
- The Medical Records Clerk supports the integrity, accessibility, and confidentiality of patient health information within the Clinic.
- The position contributes to efficient clinical and administrative operations by ensuring health records are managed in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- This role focuses on maintaining accurate health information and supporting timely information flow for patient care and business functions.
- The Medical Records Clerk promotes quality, compliance, and service excellence through effective records management practices.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical records management, confidentiality requirements, and document control practices.
- Skill in data entry and use of computer applications.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling sensitive information.
- Ability to organize work, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 1+ years of medical records, health information management, or healthcare office experience.
- Experience using electronic health record systems.
- Knowledge of release-of-information processes and healthcare privacy regulations.
- Strong organizational and records retention management skills.
