Location: Neptune, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | Monday – Friday | 40 Hours/Week
Local Candidates Required: Yes
Traveler Candidates Required: No

Pay Rate: $19 – $20/hr

Position Overview
We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to provide front-desk support, patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative assistance.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Patient-facing experience required.

  • Prior medical office, receptionist, or clerical experience preferred.

  • Experience with patient check-in and check-out preferred.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, accountability, and adaptability skills.

  • Strong patient-service and interpersonal skills.

  • English language proficiency required.

  • Ability to travel to various practice locations and float as needed.

  • Epic experience preferred.

  • CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors and provide professional front-desk support.

  • Answer and direct phone calls while following HIPAA and office policies.

  • Manage patient check-in, including demographics, insurance, referrals, and paperwork.

  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances and enter patient information accurately.

  • Manage patient check-out, payments, charges, and follow-up appointments.

  • Verify insurance eligibility and required referrals and authorizations.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, files, and new patient folders.

  • Support billing and financial duties, including cash receipts and credit card batches.

  • Monitor office supplies and equipment and communicate supply needs.

  • Provide excellent patient service and communicate concerns to the Practice Manager.

  • Support the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

  • Float to various practice locations as needed.
