About the Role:Middle Tennessee Internal Medicine is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Nashville practice. If you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and love making patients feel at ease, this is the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
- Answer multi-line phone system and route calls to appropriate clinical staff
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information in EMR system
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers as needed
- Manage front desk operations including filing, faxing, and patient correspondence
Requirements:- 1+ year of experience in a medical front office or healthcare setting preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of insurance verification, co-pays, and basic medical billing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
