Position Summary:
The Medical Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for providing friendly and professional customer service to patients while supporting the daily administrative operations of the medical office. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and works closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner.
Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and identification.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
Check patients out and schedule follow-up appointments.
Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
Verify insurance eligibility and assist with referrals when needed.
Maintain accurate and updated patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) system. knowledge of Eclinicinalworks is a plus.
Communicate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other office staff.
Process patient forms, medical records requests, and other administrative paperwork.
Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance.
Address patient concerns professionally and refer complex issues to management when necessary.
Maintain an organized, clean, and professional front-desk area.
Assist with general office and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus.
Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Professional, friendly, and patient-focused attitude.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
