About the Role:
Center for Preventive Medicine PC is looking for a motivated and compassionate Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care from the front desk to the exam room.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, manage scheduling, and handle front desk operations
- Answer phones, verify insurance, and process patient referrals and authorizations
- Room patients, record vital signs, and document chief complaints in the EMR system
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures, examinations, and patient education
- Collect and process lab specimens, administer injections, and perform phlebotomy as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation
- Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked, cleaned, and prepared between appointments
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting strongly preferred
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and medical scheduling systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance
- Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs and injections
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Warm, professional demeanor with a patient-first attitude
