Seeking a Medical Receptionist II to join our Occupational Health team at Memorial Hospital! We look forward to seeing your applications.

What Youll Do:

  • Greet, instruct, and direct patients in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner
  • Serve as the liaison between patients and medical support
  • Oversee the waiting area, coordinate patient movement, and report any problems or irregularities
  • Respond to routine inquiries and/or direct customers to appropriate individuals or areas
  • Prepare charts with required forms for scheduled appointments and pre-register all scheduled appointments
  • Register all scheduled and walk-in patients on arrival in computer system and other departmental software
  • Verify patient information for accuracy
  • Enter order entry codes and information
  • Enter and retrieve information from computer system for patient care
  • Answer telephone calls and schedule patient appointments
  • Coordinate scheduling with staff and ancillary departments
  • Sort incoming faxes and forward to appropriate staff
  • Scan incoming mail and forward to appropriate staff
  • Maintain and report clinical volume statistics
  • Track monthly pain management drug screens for monthly statistics
  • Check each discharged chart for accurate changes
  • Assist other staff in preparation of spreadsheets, logs, and forms as requested
  • Assist with submitting DOT exams to DOT registry
  • Work on other projects and special assignments as assigned

What Youll Bring/Requirements:

  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent

  • Three (3) years of experience in a medical office

  • Demonstrable skills in data entry, personal computer, communication and organizational skills

  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience

80 hours per pay period (every two weeks)
