Schedule: Monday-Friday, generally 8:00 AM-4:00/5:00 PM
Pay: $20-$30/hour
About the Opportunity
A well-established specialty medical practice in Great Neck is seeking a
Medical Receptionist to join its patient-focused team. This is a front-desk position for someone who takes pride in creating a welcoming patient experience, stays organized in a busy medical office, and is looking for a
stable, long-term opportunity.
The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, personable, and willing to take ownership of their responsibilities. Prior experience working in a medical practice is required, and specialty practice experience is strongly preferred.
What You'll Do
- Answer and route incoming patient calls to the appropriate department
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Handle patient check-in and check-out
- Collect copays and other required payments
- Provide warm, professional customer service to patients
- Answer patient questions and direct them to the appropriate resources or department
- Support efficient patient flow and daily front-office operations
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working in a medical practice is required
- Specialty medical practice experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and patient-service skills
- Professional, polished, and presentable demeanor
- Ability to take ownership, work independently, and follow through on responsibilities
- Genuine interest in helping patients and providing high-quality service
- Schedule & Training
- Monday-Friday schedule
- No regularly scheduled nights or weekends
- Initial training is expected to be approximately 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Regular hours are generally around 8:00 AM-4:00/5:00 PM
- Fridays typically end around 3:00 PM, with hours adjusted Monday-Thursday to accommodate
- Some flexibility is required based on office coverage
Compensation & Benefits
- $20-$30/hour, depending on experience
