Medical Receptionist

• Greet patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to our medical office in a friendly and professional manner
• Assist patients with forms, records requests, and general questions
• Answer and manage incomming phone calls
• Respond to emails that arrive using our general office email address
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Collect copays, deductibles, and patient balances when applicable
• Obtain and scan insurance cards, ID's, and other documents
• Assist with insurance eligibility and benefit verification
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records and follow HIPPA requirements
• Manage incoming and outgoing faxes
• Route messages to the appropriate clinical staff
• Monitor the patient portal and assist patients with portal asscess when needed
• Maintain an organized front desk and waiting area
• Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the daily operation of the practice
• Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
