Medical Receptionist

We are seeking candidates with experience working in a medical office for a front desk role with a customer in Amherst.

In this position, you will work for a leading medical office supporting patient check-in, scheduling, phones, and medical record workflows. The office currently uses eClinicalWorks ECW as their EMR system and will be transitioning to Epic.

 


Shift:
  • Mon-Thur 8:30am – 5:00pm, Fri 8:30am – 2:00pm


 

Pay:
  • $17+ an hour depending on experience


 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.
  • Greet patients, ascertain purpose of visit, check them in or direct them to appropriate staff.
  • Interview patients to complete documents, case histories, or forms, such as intake or insurance forms.
  • Maintain medical records, technical library, or correspondence files through eClinicalWorks.
  • Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic appointments, procedures, or medical consultations.
  • Complete insurance or other claim forms.
  • Transmit correspondence or medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax.
  • Receive and route messages or documents, such as laboratory results, to appropriate staff.



Minimum Requirements:
  • Medical office administrative experience required
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks ECW preferred
  • Experience with Epic is preferred
