San Diego Oncology Medical Clinic is seeking a board-certified Medical Oncologist / Hematologist to join its two-physician hematology and oncology private practice in San Diego. This is a full-time opportunity with excellent growth potential.
Serving the San Diego community since 1977, San Diego Oncology is an independent, privately owned group practice that provides comprehensive cancer care for adults of all ages. The practice is not managed by any corporation and is not limited by hospital policies, so its physicians can deliver excellent cancer care without compromise.
The practice offers a full range of hematology and oncology services:
San Diego Oncology was founded in 1977 by S.Y. Thomas Song, MD. Dr. Song's background includes lab research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, internal medicine at UCLA-Wadsworth, and hematology and oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston and Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. Uladzislau Naidzionak, MD brings a research background, having worked on cancer drug research in Europe and the United States, and focuses on newer evidence-based treatment. He completed hematology and oncology training at the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center.
Over the decades the practice has built strong relationships with many insurance providers, a trust that helps it deliver better and faster patient care. It works with Medicare, Medi-Cal, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield PPO, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Health Net, Molina, Community Health Group and others.
The practice sees patients in two parts of San Diego County. Its Kearny Mesa office is near Sharp Memorial Hospital, which has 656 licensed beds and is part of Sharp HealthCare, a San Diego not-for-profit system of five acute-care hospitals. The Chula Vista office is near Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, which has 449 licensed beds. Chula Vista is the second-largest city in San Diego County, with 275,487 residents in the 2020 census.
