    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Full time (Monday - Friday, days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays

    Seeking a Medical Office Specialist for our practice who provides clerical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care.     What you will do in this role:

    • You will manage all front office functions including patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones 
    • You will manage filing and retrieving medical records and patient information
    • You will assist with collecting and recording co-pays (cash and/or charge) including balancing the day in the computer
    • Collecting out of pocket costs (Co-Pays, Deductible, etc.) 
    • Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors and patients. 
    • Patient registration: assist patients with new patient forms and check accuracy. 
    • Able to enter all demographics accurately and quickly. 
    • Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. 
    • Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations. 
    • Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff and patient information.
    • Answering phones, schedule appointments, message taking, phone transfers, checking on referrals Medical Receptionist Requirements: 
    • 1 year of experience at a healthcare facility in a Medical Receptionist role (essential). 
    • Working knowledge of medical terminology, and various health insurance plans 
    • Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills. 
    • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task. 
    • Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills. 
    • Ability to work under pressure and react effectively and professionally to high pace situations. 
    • Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information. 
    • Excellent documentation, communication and IT/EMR skills. 
    • Passionate about healthcare excellence. 

    What Qualifications you will need:

    • One year of experience in a medical office setting is highly preferred
    • Experience using an EHR system is highly preferred
    • Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
