Description

Responsibilities: for the Medical Office Coordinator Include : Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner while managing the check-in and check-out process and ensuring accurate patient registration. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments according to physician protocols, including new patient, follow-up, walk-in, and specialist appointments. Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, identification, referrals, and required documentation while maintaining accurate and complete patient records. Collect and reconcile patient payments, including copays, coinsurance, prepayments, and self-pay amounts, and assist with end-of-day payment reconciliation and reporting. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) by creating patient encounters, scanning and indexing documents. Provide administrative support to physicians, clinical staff, and office management, including preparing charts, handling phone calls, and obtaining outside medical records. Qualifications: for the Medical Office Coordinator Include: Previous medical office, healthcare administration, patient registration, or front-desk experience preferred. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office; previous experience with EHR/EMR systems, medical scheduling software, or electronic patient registration platforms preferred . Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to provide a welcoming experience for patients and visitors. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, including the ability to work accurately across multiple computer systems in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with physicians, clinical teams, managers, and fellow staff members, including occasional travel to other locations and participation in Saturday rotations as required. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
