    AH Lung Nodule Program and AMG Pulmonology, Sleep, Allergy & Critical Care

    AMG Pulmonology, Sleep, Allergy and Critical Care is seeking a dedicated Per Diem role to support the Atlantic Health Lung Nodule Program (LNP). This role is ideal for candidates who are flexible, detail oriented, and eager to contribute to high quality patient care across a dynamic clinical environment.

    Medical Office Associate (Front Desk Receptionist)

    Responsible for providing day-to-day support operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high-quality customer service to patients. Medical office associate manages both the front and back of the office, including billing support, scheduling, coding, patient communication, and filing

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Interviews patients for case histories prior to appointments.

    • Schedules and coordinates appointments.

    • Accurately updates and maintains patients' health records.

    • Verifies insurance coverage and assists the billing department with processing claims.

    • Communicates test results to patients when directed by physicians or nursing professionals.

    • Ensures contacting patients regarding appointments, answering billing questions.

    • Assists patients with re-scheduling appointments and other scheduling issues.

    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Work with highest confidentially and abide HIPA compliance

    Lung Nodule Program Responsibilities:

    • Complete follow-ups assigned on the LNP spreadsheet (CT review, PET review, routine follow-ups, thoracic surgery follow-ups, etc.).
    • Schedule new patient referrals to the program (qualified and unqualified).
    • Assist with CT scheduling (if trained; otherwise escalated to program lead).
    • Support in-basket call management, including reviewing CT reports and triaging new patient appointment requests.
    • Obtain radiology records, including reports and images, via PowerShare.
    • Answer the LNP phone line during high-volume periods or when program staff are unavailable.
    • Scan and upload patient records into the EMR.
