As an Medical Office Assistant for JHCP - Odenton Family Practice and Internal Medicine, you'll:

  • Be the first person to greet our patients over the phone!

  • You'll provide friendly, courteous assistance to every patient to ensure that they have a positive, professional experience while at JHCP.

  • Receive incoming and make outbound phone calls in order to schedule appointments, process referrals and refills, and take messages.

  • Perform patient check-in and out; Collect full demographics, verify insurance, collect co-pays, etc.

What You'll Need to be Successful:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
  • Ability to successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: Electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial.

Salary Range: Minimum 17.37/hour - Maximum 28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
