Summary:
The Lead Medical Materiel Specialist III shall include but are not limited providing supervision and overall operational responsibility for medical logistics functions to include advanced medical supply chain activities and biomedical equipment maintenance functions.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
This position shall oversee Medical Materiel Specialists level I and II activities and coordinate with the COR
Oversee medical supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, storage, and distribution of medical materiel
Ensure medical logistics operations align with Air Force, DoD, and federal regulations
Manage the acquisition, tracking, and replenishment of critical medical supplies for deployed and contingency operations
Optimize supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve response times
Maintain accountability and readiness of medical materiel to support mission requirements
Responsible for the logistical oversight and inventory management of the 27 Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Response Enterprise to ensure precise SLEP/DMLSS statistics and effectively communicate all SLEP related updates to affected units, AFMED, and NGB/SGX
Conduct monthly reviews, and provides monthly reports to the COR, of SLEP and DMLSS inventory records to ensure accuracy and program compliance
Contractor also functions as Logical SLEP coordinator
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
Track and document the usage of medical materials
Assist in the procurement of medical supplies and equipment
The position is designed for a Medical Materiel professional with a skillset critical to performing program management and oversight, effective communication at all levels, integrated collaboration, and strategic readiness reporting
Work independently at single-location sites
Provide management oversight of onsite contractor staff
Coordinate logistics activities with base organizations, units, and government agencies
Ensure overall readiness and availability of unit ECMM (Expeditionary Contingency Medical Materiel), including general medical materiel management and warehouse activities
Serve as the vendor-contracted Air National Guard (ANG) Influenza Program Manager, responsible for logistical oversight and management of the influenza vaccination program
Act as the focal point between the Surgeon General and ANG Medical Groups regarding the influenza program
Perform program management and oversight of medical materiel operations
Communicate effectively at all organizational levels
Collaborate in an integrated manner with stakeholders
Provide strategic readiness reporting
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has supervisory responsibilities to include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or logistics related field
Minimum 10 years of Medical Logistics field experience
Specialized experience shall include supervision and overall operational responsibility for medical logistics functions to include general medical supply activities, ordering, receiving, customer support, inventory management, warehousing and operation of various materiel handling equipment, report development, analyzing log functions, and biomedical equipment maintenance functions
Experience shall have taken place in a healthcare or healthcare support setting and have a comprehensive understanding of medical WRM, FHP, and IMAHR program management and ECMM operation execution of Class VIII medical supply sustainment
MMIS assemblage management expertise required. May act as vendor contracted ECMM Lead/Supervisor
Prior lead, management, or supervisory experience required
Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa
Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance
This position requires occasional travel (10-25%)
