Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney: Defend Health Care Providers in Florida's Capital

Our client, a well-respected Florida defense firm, is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience for its downtown Tallahassee office. The firm defends physicians, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other health care providers in professional liability claims throughout North Florida.

This is an in-office role in downtown Tallahassee, where you will work side by side with seasoned trial partners and a dedicated litigation support team.

What You'll Do

• Manage a medical malpractice defense caseload from pre-suit investigation through trial
• Handle Florida pre-suit notice, screening, and investigation requirements
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs
• Take and defend depositions of parties, treating physicians, and medical experts
• Report to clients and carriers and attend mediations, hearings, and trials

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of medical malpractice, professional liability, or insurance defense litigation experience
• Comfort working with medical records and expert witnesses
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Commitment to working in office as part of a collaborative team
