Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney: Hybrid Flexibility in Cape Coral

Our client, an established Southwest Florida defense firm, is seeking a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience for its Cape Coral office. The firm defends physicians, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals in malpractice and related liability matters across Florida.

This is a hybrid role. You will split your week between the Cape Coral office and home, with partner support and meaningful ownership of your files.

What You'll Do

• Defend medical malpractice and healthcare liability claims in state court
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and status reports for carriers and clients
• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses
• Attend mediations, hearings, and trials
• Evaluate exposure and recommend strategy to clients and carriers

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
• 3+ years of medical malpractice defense or civil litigation experience
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a caseload with partner guidance
• Comfort with a hybrid schedule
