Job Details

What You'll Do
Handle medical malpractice defense and related civil litigation matters
Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery requests
Draft motions, pleadings, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents
Conduct and defend depositions
Review and analyze medical records and complex case materials
Assist with litigation strategy, case evaluations, and settlement preparation
Collaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and litigation support teams
Represent clients in court appearances, conferences, and other proceedings as appropriate
Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial

What We're Looking For
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active admission to the New York State Bar
2+ years of civil litigation experience
Medical malpractice defense experience strongly preferred
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Experience handling discovery, motion practice, and depositions
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to litigation
Attorneys with relevant insurance defense, general liability, or healthcare litigation backgrounds are encouraged to inquire regarding potential alignment.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $100,000–$150,000, depending on qualifications and experience
