Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing fast-moving case coordination? We are seeking a proactive Lien Specialist to support personal injury patients throughout their treatment journey while coordinating with attorneys, providers, and billing teams.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and enjoys managing complex workflows with accuracy and accountability.
About the Role
As a Lien Specialist, you will manage the full lifecycle of personal injury lien cases — from referral intake and scheduling through settlement tracking and lien closure documentation. You will serve as a key point of coordination between patients, attorneys, providers, and internal departments to ensure cases move efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate personal injury referrals from intake through settlement closure
- Obtain attorney confirmations and completed lien agreements before treatment
- Request and track policy limits, liability status, and UM/UIM information
- Manage appointment confirmations, reschedules, and no-show workflows
- Maintain accurate documentation within ECW and CRM systems
- Support provider note locking and billing packet preparation
- Send billing updates and documentation to attorneys
- Track settlement timelines and assist with payment follow-up
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant communication and records
- Support workflow tracking, reporting, and audits

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in one of the following:
- Medical liens
- Personal injury coordination
- Medical billing
- Legal administrative support
- Strong coordination and documentation skills
Preferred
- Experience using ECW or similar EMR systems
- CRM workflow experience
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 basics
- Knowledge of personal injury terminology including policy limits, liability, and UM/UIM
- Bilingual Spanish
Work Environment
- Full-time onsite role (Monday–Friday)
- Clinical office setting
- Occasional coordination outside standard business hours
- Possible local travel for attorney liaison coordination
