    The Opportunity
Join a dedicated laboratory team at a historic, independent community hospital known for providing high-touch, patient-centered care. We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist (MT/MLS) to handle moderate-to-high complexity testing. This is an ideal role for a professional who enjoys working independently in a close-knit environment where your results directly impact clinical decisions in real-time.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Comprehensive Testing: Perform and analyze tests across all major disciplines, including Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Serology, and Urinalysis.
    • Technical Oversight: Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot sophisticated lab instrumentation while ensuring strict adherence to quality control and regulatory standards.
    • Clinical Collaboration: Communicate critical values directly to providers and nursing staff to ensure rapid patient intervention.
    • Specimen Management: Handle specimen collection (including phlebotomy), labeling, and processing with high attention to detail.

    Requirements
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
    • Certification: Active MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent national certification is required.
    • Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Experience: 1–2 years of clinical lab experience is preferred; phlebotomy skills are a significant plus.

    Why This Role?
    • Exceptional Work-Life Balance: The Monday–Thursday schedule offers a consistent 3-day weekend every week.
    • Impactful Work: Experience the "small hospital" advantage where you are a known and valued member of the clinical team, not just a number in a large reference lab.
    • Location: Located in a scenic region perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, offering easy access to the White Mountains and the Connecticut River.
